for Using the CD-ROM for:
The
Illustrated Principles of Pool and Billiards
- Insert the CD-ROM
into your computer. With a PC, the interface should load automatically after
a few seconds using your default browser (Internet Explorer is recommended).
With a Mac, follow the next step.
- If that doesn't work,
double-click on the file "index.html" on the CD. Alternatively, run
your browser and open the file "index.html" (using File - Open - Browse).
- View the normal videos (NV), high-speed videos (HSV), and technical proofs
(TP). The numbering system allows easy cross reference with the supporting material
in the book.
- If a
message appears in your browser asking for permission to allow active or blocked
content, select yes. Some browsers do not allow embedded videos to play without
user permission.
- If the video clips fail to play properly,
try clicking on "alternative interface" in the header above the
list of clips. The alternative interface plays the clips in the Windows Media
Player, outside of the browser window (instead of as embedded clips in the browser).
- If
the alternative interface doesn't work, you can run the Windows Media Player and
open the video clips directly from the CD.
- If the clips still
fail to play, you may need to download the latest free Windows Media Player by
clicking on the icon below:
